Our foals in 2004 and the stallions we breed our mares to!
On this page we would like to introduce you to the foals born out of our breeding in the year 2004!
Ţura & Hákon
On july the 3rd Ţura showed us our last foal from this year. A little black stallion, the first in the group! Ţura is a fourgaited mare with first prize for conformation and 8,5 for tölt. She is from the famous farm Hólar, and out of the same line of Ţokka´dis. The father of Ţura is the well known stallion Kormákur frá Flugumýri. The mother of Ţura is the daughter of Ţrá, named Ţöll frá Hólum.
The father of the little fellow is Hágangur frá Narfastöđum. Interesting line as heis the only stallion which mixes together Glampi frá Vatnsleysu and Orri frá Ţufu! He recieved 8,31 as an overal score, 9 for tölt, trot and looks under rider! Ţura is covered by the stallion Ţokki frá Kýrholti. Ţokki has recieved 8,34 as an overal score, there of 8,54 for riding! Ţura has been sold to Norway and her son Hákur to Germany.
Ţokkadís & Söngvadís
On the 17th of June, another little mare joined the herd. This mare is the first foal of Ţokkadís. And we are very excited that she has joined our breedingmares. Ţokkadís has a very interesting pedigree, her mother is the famous mare Ţrá frá Hólum and her father is the stallion Fáni frá Hafsteinsstöđum. The father of Söngvadís is Sveinn Hervar frá Ţúfu.
This summer Ţokkadís is covered by Adam frá Ásmundarstöđum. The horse who did win the fivegaited class on the Landsmót 2002! At the breedingshow Adam recieved 8,36 as an overal score. The future foals owner lives in Belgium.
Fríđa & Fuga
On june the 14 there was waiting a little surprise for us out in the field! A chestnut fillie with a beautiful blaze. The father is Víkingur frá Vođmúlastađir, one of the few stallions who recieved 10 for tölt! Fríđa is our oldest mare, and she has given us many excelent off spring. Among others is Fríđa the mother of Fasta and Prinsessa, grandmother of Klóra and Ólga. You can say that Friđa is the mare that our breeding is build on! Fríđa is covered by the young stallion Trúr frá Kjartansstöđum. Trúr is a full brother of Töfri frá Kjartanstöđum. A stallion out of Óđur frá Brún and the famous mare Ţerna frá Kirkjubć. Fúga has been sold to Holland. Gína
Gína is a young mare that we have high expectations of. her father is a stallion from the Sauđárkrókurline, Kjarval frá Sauđárkróki. Kjarval is known for giving very good breedingmares. Kjarval has recieved honoursaward for off spring, himself he recieved 9 for tölt, trot and character. We choose a high actioned fourgaited stallion for Gína, Hrymur frá Hofi. As he has been bred by us we know this stallion very well. He and his family are showing excelent gates and are horses which is a pleasure to work with! Hrymur is judged with 9 for tölt, trot, galop and temperament. As an overal score he recieved 8,20 Ljósbrá & Sónata
Ljósbrá gave birth on White Sunday! A beautiful blue dun with dorsal stripe and black mane and tale little girl. Ljósbrá is a fourgaited mare, judged with 8 for tölt and 8,5 for trot, building was 7,85. The father of Sónata is Galsi frá Sauđárkróki, one of Icelands most famous fivegaited horses. Galsi was doing very well in both breedingshow and competition. He recieved 9,01 for riding! Ljósbrá and Galsi also own a young stallion together, Lokkur frá Hofi. He is growing up in Belgium.
Aska & Aría
In the evening of the 28th of may Aska gave birth to a black little mare! Aska is a daughter of Ófeigur frá Hvanneyri and recieved first prize for riding. The father of the foal is the stallion Sveinn Hervar frá Ţufu, a highly judged son of Orri and a stallion who is doing very well in competition in Iceland. He recieved 9 for tölt, slow tölt, trot, temperament and looks under rider. Aska will be covered by the honours award for off spring stallion Ţorri frá Ţúfu. Aría has been sold to Germany.
Ólga & Ópera
On may the 6th Ólga gave birth to a ravenblack little girl! Ópera is Ólga´s first foal and next year we will start her training. Ólga is after Óđur frá Brún and a daughter of Orri frá Ţúfu. She is a very promising young mare. The father of the foal is Dynur frá Hvammi, one of the most impressing stallions I have ever seen! Ólga is sold in Iceland and Ópera has been sold to Germany. Prinsessa & Primadonna
On may the 4th Prinsessa gave birth to a little girl! We are so happy because this fillie is the first marefoal that Prinsessa gives us. Primadonna is dark chestnut with a blaze. Prinsessa is a daughter of Hrafn frá Holtsmúla. A stallion which we think is necessary for your breeding. Prinsessa recieved first prize and is a real joy to ride. The father of Primadonna is Parker frá Sólheimum, fourgaited with 9 for tölt, temperament and looks under rider, he recieved not less as 9,5 for trot! Prinsessa will be covered by Óđur frá Brún.
Varpa & Kantata Our first foal was born on april the 27th!
Varpa is after the stallion with 10 for tölt, Víkingur frá Vođmúlastađir. Her mother is Ţóta frá Hvammi II, a mare who has given us first prize off spring. Varpa is judged with 8,02 for building, for riding she became 8,5 for tölt, galop and temperament. Varpa is fourgaited. The father of Kantata is Kormákur frá Flugumýri. Kormákur is a stallion with a superb pedigree and is proving himself as a high quality breedinghorse. Both his parents recieved honoursaward for off spring. And there will not pass by many years before Kormákur recieves this honour to. Kormákur is judged with 8,30 as an overal score.
