If you think about traveling to Iceland in a particular time of the year, click on the pictures here above

Spring is a beautiful time of the year in Iceland. The days are already long and you can enjoy the day from early in the morning until very late in the evening. The midnightsun you find from late may until august.

The grass turns green and often there is still some snow left at the top of the mountains. In april the birds return. The birds have been in warm countries during the wintertime. Thousands and thousands of geese will appear on our fields, they stay until they have eaten enough either to continue their journey or to until the grass is green in our highlands. Together with them you will see hundreds of white swans. In the trees the smaller birds will sing again.

Nature is waking upp, the trees will start to show their leaves and flowers pop up wherever you look. One of the most amazing things are though the little lambs who will play around in the fields. In may on many many farms there is lambseason and in three weeks time the lambs will be born. The first weeks they will spend around the farms and it is a joy to watch them play. On a farm like ours you are welcome to join us in the sheepstable and see the wonders of new life. Also at this time of the year many foals will be born and everyday it is a new surprise if there is born a little one!

Every evening the newborn lambs play outside in the field.

Spring is a beautiful time to visit Iceland. See the change in nature which goes very fast, the fields colour green right in front of your eyes. Waterfalls are at it´s best when the snow in the highland is melting.

It is no problem to travel in all types of cars.
